The Churches of Christ Tennessee State Youth
Conference, Inc., Steering Committee is organized to provide youth
across the state of Tennessee with opportunities for spiritual
enrichment through conference activities. The role of the Steering
Committee is to:
- Sponsor the annual Tennessee State Youth Conference.
- Coordinate age-appropriate workshops and classes, Bible Bowl,
Conference Pageant, get-acquainted mixers, and recreation.
- Establish and maintain requirements pertaining to housing, food,
security, meeting space, transportation, fees, staffing, counselor
requirements, health, and safety.
- Set standards for codes of conduct and dress.
- Assume all liability in contractual agreements, permits, and
licensing.
- Pattern the state conference in accordance with the national
conference, including adopting the theme of the annual national
conference.
- Promote communication between area congregations and the
steering committee.
Members of the Steering Committee represent the three
regions of the State of Tennessee: East, Middle, and West Tennessee.
Several special committees organize Christian competition in
accordance with national conference guidelines.
- The Bible Bowl is designed to foster Bible knowledge.
- The Conference Pageant is designed to promote Christian ability
and talent.
